The Houthi-aligned Yemeni armed forces have announced two major military operations, one against an Israeli target in Umm Al-Rashrash (Eilat) and another against a US ship in the Red Sea.

“The missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a specific military operation targeting important targets in the Umm al-Rashrash area in southern occupied Palestine with a number of ballistic missiles, and thanks to Allah, the operation has achieved its goals successfully,” stated Brigadier General Yahya Saree earlier today.

He also revealed that a coordinated effort involving naval forces, UAVs, and missile units targeted the US ship “Pumba” in the Red Sea. “The operation led to a direct hit against the ship, thanks to Allah,” Saree confirmed.

These operations, according to Saree, are in support of the Palestinian people and in response to US, British, and Israeli aggression against Yemen.

“The Yemeni Armed Forces affirm their full right to defend beloved Yemen against the American-British aggression, as well as against the Israeli aggression, and that this aggression will not deter the great Yemen from its solid stance towards the oppression of the Palestinian people,” he declared.

Saree emphasised that the armed forces will continue operations within their designated naval areas against Israeli or US and British-linked vessels, or those heading to ports in occupied Palestine, until the aggression ceases and the siege on Gaza is lifted.

“The Yemeni Armed Forces confirm that the response to the Israeli aggression against our country is inevitably coming and will be huge and great,” he asserted.

These announcements follow Israeli air strikes on the Hodeidah port and a power station in Yemen, which resulted in civilian casualties and significant fires. The Ministry of Health reported that three were killed and 87 others were wounded in these attacks, many suffering severe burns.

The Israeli strikes were in response to a deadly drone attack launched by the Yemeni military on Friday, successfully targeting Tel Aviv, which resulted in one death and several injuries. “The operation was carried out with a new drone named ‘Yafa,’ which can bypass the enemy’s interception systems and cannot be detected by radar. The operation successfully achieved its objectives,” Saree said, before declaring Tel Aviv an “unsafe zone and a primary target within our weapon range.”
