Lebanese group Hezbollah released detailed drone footage of an Israeli military air base on Wednesday, Anadolu has reported. The Ramat David air base is located to the north of Haifa.
The footage on Hezbollah’s Telegram channel described Ramat David as one of the “most important air bases” in Israel, and the “only military air base in the north.”
The video reveals the base headquarters, Iron Dome missile defence system platforms, a communications dome and other infrastructure. According to Hezbollah, the base has fighter jets, combat helicopters, transport and rescue helicopters, maritime reconnaissance helicopters and electronic warfare systems stationed there.
This is not the first time that the Lebanese group has aired footage gathered by its reconnaissance drones of vital military locations in northern Israel.
Fears have grown of a full-fledged war between Israel and Hezbollah amid an exchange of cross-border attacks since last October.
The escalation comes against the backdrop of a deadly Israeli onslaught on Gaza, which has killed over 39,100 Palestinians since 7 October, and wounded 90,000 others.
