The Islamic Christian Authority for Patronising Jerusalem and Holy Sites has warned of social media posts belonging to an extremist Jewish group inciting settlers to defile Al-Aqsa Mosque en masse to mark what they call “the breach of Jerusalem’s wall”, the Palestinian Information Centre reported.

In a statement issued yesterday, the Islamic Christian Authority said it is deeply concerned to see such an unprecedented escalation of Israeli violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque in an attempt to impose new faits accomplis and change the religious and legal status quo at the Islamic holy site.

The Islamic Christian Authority urged Palestinians to intensify their presence at Al-Aqsa Mosque to protect it against intended mass break-ins by Jewish settlers.
