Iranians mark Shia festival of Arbaeen in Tehran

Iranians gather in Tehran to mark the start of the Shia Islamic religious festival of Arbaeen, which commemorates the 40th day since Ashura, where they mourn the death of Hussein Ibn Ali, the grandson of Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him). This year's festival comes as Iran settles into the new presidency of Masoud Pezeshkian, who won a snap election called after previous President Ebrahimi Raisi died in a helicopter accident.
