The Sudanese Armed Forces (RSF) have denied reports that they allegedly obtained K8 fighter planes from Egypt.
In a statement released yesterday, the Sudanese military clarified that it has owned squadrons of this type of aircraft since the early 2000s, having acquired them directly from their country of origin, China. This was two decades before the current conflict, according to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA).
The statement added that there is no need to rely on any friendly nation to obtain more of these aircraft, which are intended for pilot training.
