The escalation on Israel’s northern front has caused fires at approximately 800 sites within the country, Israel’s Channel 12 reported yesterday.

The channel added that around 189,000 dunams (189 square kilometres) in the Israeli occupied Syrian Golan Heights and Galilee have been consumed by fires, a figure unprecedented and significantly higher than the fires that broke out during the Second Lebanon War or the Carmel fire in 2010, according to Al Jazeera.

Hezbollah claimed to have targeted and directly hit Israeli military positions around the Al-Mutla outpost.

Meanwhile, Israeli Army Radio reported that five anti-tank missiles were fired at in the Ghajar area in the Upper Galilee, with no casualties reported.
