Israel is carrying out “brutal field investigations” with Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) and Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs Commission said yesterday evening, according to the Palestinian Information Centre.

“The Israeli occupation forces carried out brutal field investigations with Palestinians in Tulkarm, Jenin, Tubas and Ramallah in the West Bank,” the rights groups said in a joint statement.

Occupation forces “committed violations against detained Palestinians, according to testimonies by recently released prisoners whose bodies showed signs of torture,” they added.

Media sources revealed that the occupation army “forced a number of Palestinians out of their homes in Jenin, in the northern West Bank, before snipers occupied their houses’ rooftops.”

Eyewitnesses reported that soldiers also “encircled Jenin Hospital.”

In Nur Shams refugee camp, occupation forces stormed dozens of houses, turning “some of them into detention and investigation centres.”
