Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman held talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi yesterday and discussed the situation in Palestine and developments in the region.
During his call with Erdogan, Bin Salman stressed “the kingdom’s keenness to unify Arab and Islamic efforts to support the brotherly Palestinian people in the face of the brutal aggression they are being subjected to by the Israeli occupation forces,” according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
He also stressed the need to intensify efforts to stop the ongoing Israeli attacks and violations against Palestinians.
The Turkish presidency said in a statement that the call discussed “the crimes of genocide committed by Israel in the Palestinian territories, as well as regional and international issues.”
It noted that Erdogan stressed “the importance of the international community increasing its pressure on Israel regarding the crimes against humanity it is committing in the Palestinian territories, especially in Gaza.”
Bin Salman stressed during the call “the need to exert all Arab and Islamic efforts to stop the escalation and the ongoing Israeli violations against the Palestinian people.”
The ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has killed approximately 40,690 Palestinians and wounded more than 94,000, more than half of whom are children and women.
