Some 625,000 “deeply traumatised” Palestinian children in Gaza are living among the rubble, while thousands more are suffering under increased Israeli attacks in the occupied West Bank, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said yesterday.
“While nearly 625,000 deeply traumatised girls and boys are out of school and living in the rubble in Gaza, many children in the West Bank suffer from escalating violence that disrupts their lives and education.”
In a post on X yesterday, UNRWA confirmed that “Palestinian children in the #Gaza Strip and the #WestBank have endured terrible losses over the past year.”
this comes after it warned in a previous post that “Even before the war in #Gaza, most families were struggling to feed their young children as they prepared for their first year of school,” adding, “Nearly 12 months into the war, we have seen alarming increases in malnutrition, disease, and death.”
