The Israeli occupation army yesterday declared five towns in the Western Galilee located near the border with Lebanon as closed military zones and prohibited entry into them.
The army said in a statement: “Following a situational assessment, the areas of Rosh HaNikra, Shlomi, Hanita, and Arab al-Aramshe in northern Israel will be declared a closed military zone as of 10:00 p.m. today (Monday). Entry to this area is prohibited.”
This comes as Israeli army spokesman for the Arab media, Avichay Adraee, warned the Lebanese people against being present on the Mediterranean coast starting from the Awali River in the south as Israel’s plans to intensify its attacks on the area.
Since 23 September, Israel has expanded its genocide in Gaza to include most areas of Lebanon, including the capital Beirut, launching its most violent bombing campaign in the country in almost 20 years. More than 1.2 million people have since been displaced, with some resorting to taking refuge in war torn Syria.
