Trump: ‘Gaza could be better than Monaco’

US presidential candidate Donald Trump told listeners of the Hugh Hewitt Show on Monday that Gaza ‘could be better than Monaco.’ Trump claimed that he’s been to Gaza and said that 'it is rough there' but highlighted that it’s a beautiful place that 'could be one of the best places in the world'. He, however, failed to mention Israel's decades-long occupation of the territory and its 17-year siege, which restricted the entry of essential building materials and thwarted Palestinian efforts to develop the Strip and grow its economy.
