PA condemns US support for Israel’s aggression on Palestinians

The Palestinian Authority (PA) has condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestinians, which the United States supports, Sama reported.

Spokesperson for the Palestinian Presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, responded to recent statements from the United States regarding Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip, highlighting that the US’s unwavering support for Israel, particularly through the continuous supply of weapons and money, contributes to the ongoing conflict.

Abu Rudeineh criticised the US for its stance that international rules do not apply to Israel, emphasising that this support perpetuates the cycle of violence. The aggression, he added,  has led to the deaths of tens of thousands, injured over 100,000 people, and destroyed the Gaza Strip.

“Such a policy is both unacceptable and condemned, as it signifies US participation in the aggression against the Palestinian people and their rights,” he said, adding “It also challenges dozens of UN Security Council resolutions and international law,” the Palestinian official stated.”

Abu Rudeineh further called on the United States to halt the aggression, noting that since it is supplying Israel with the weapons, it bears responsibility for the ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people and their right to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
