Kuwait army denies that US transferred weapons to Israel from one of its bases

The Kuwait army denied yesterday media claims that a US military aircraft carrying weapons went directly from a Kuwaiti military base to Israel. The claims have been circulated widely on social media, amidst condemnation from the Kuwaiti public and demands for official clarification from the relevant authorities.

According to the Kuwaiti army General Staff writing on X, “reports of ammunition-laden aerial dispatches from its bases” are denied. “Military dispatches are operated according to already scheduled flights and are subject to coordination and supervision.”

Social media sites circulated photos and videos of the flight path of an American military aircraft taking off from Kuwait to Israel, bearing the number “115732” based on navigation data taken from the flightradar24 platform for Sunday’s flights.

According to the flight tracking platform, the flight path appears to have been from Ali Al Salem Air Base (in the north west of Kuwait) to the Israeli Nevatim Air Base, passing through Saudi airspace and then Egypt. This was denounced by social media users in the country, who confirmed that according to an Amiri decree issued in 1967, Kuwait is in a “defensive war against Zionist gangs.”
