At least nine Palestinians were killed and several others injured in an Israeli air strike that targeted a group of civilians west of Gaza City today.

A medical source from Al-Ahli Arab Hospital told Anadolu that the facility received several injured Palestinians and the bodies of nine people after the air strike.

The strike targeted the Al-Shati refugee camp, witnesses said.

Despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire, Israel has continued a devastating offensive on Gaza since October of last year.

More than 42,800 people have since been killed, mostly women and children, and over 100,500 others injured, according to local health authorities.
