Israel is in a suicidal state “preparing itself for collapse”, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards chief Hossein Salami said in a speech yesterday.

Salami pointed out that “the Zionist entity is digging its own grave,” noting that it has become “one of the most hated regimes in the world, with no politicians willing to visit it except for US officials.”

He stressed that “the Zionist entity should expect to pay the price for its actions, which will erase it from the face of the world.”

“The Zionist entity is mistaken, and the ‘Operation True Promise 2’ has proven the failure of its defence systems. The THAAD system will not succeed in protecting it,” he added in reference to the 1 October retaliatory strike carried out by Tehran on Israel following Tel Aviv’s assassination of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran and Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah in Lebanon.

“Lebanese and Palestinian youth stand firm against the criminal Zionist entity, and they will soon be joined by young people from around the world,” he continued.

Addressing the Zionist entity directly, he declared: “We will defeat you.”

“We are confident in ourselves and do not fear the enemy.”

Salami has previously warned Israel: “If you attack any point in Iran, we will strike that exact point in your entity with severity.”

According to media reports, Israel is on the verge of attacking Iran in response to Tehran’s missile strikes, despite US pressure to ease the offensive. Reports claim the attack might target oil or nuclear facilities, raising concerns and warnings about the possibility of a broader regional conflict.
