The Arab Organisation for Human Rights in the UK (AOHR UK) stressed in a press statement issued on Friday that the crimes committed by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) with orders of its government in the Gaza Strip in general and the north in particular, including massacres, destruction, displacement and starvation, have become an acceptable norm.
The organisation said that Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu considers the inability of the international community to move forward with the crimes of the IOF as a green light for the systematic biblical plans to kill, starve and displace people, starting from the north, according to the “Generals’ Plan”.
Despite the horrific massacres and widespread destruction, politicians and media in the West continue to claim “Israel’s right to self-defence”. Their conscience remains absent despite scenes of deceased children, beheaded and dismembered, burned bodies and displaced women and children.
On Thursday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken defended the occupation government when he was asked about the “Generals’ Plan”, denying that such a plan exists nor the intention of the Israeli government to displace the population from the northern Gaza Strip. He uttered these words while the IOF was besieging the north and intensely bombing it, leaving hundreds of wounded and dead, forcing the population to flee, despite appeals from medical and civil defence teams to stop the massacre.
Such a shameless lie by Western officials confirms that they are complicit in genocide, as they have not only provided Israel with various types of deadly weapons and intelligence information for more than a year, but they are also whitewashing Israel’s crimes, portraying it as a victim.
AOHR UK condemned the silence of more than 160 countries in the United Nations (UN), including 57 Arab and Islamic countries, which could have intensified efforts to save what remains of the Gaza Strip and put an end to the ongoing Western support that has encouraged Netanyahu and his government to unprecedented levels of brutality.
The encroachment of the colonial Western countries led by the US and their support for the genocide in the Gaza Strip is not inevitable for the rest of the international community to surrender, as many measures could be taken to change this reality.
The countries opposing the US policy must have the will to put pressure on Israel’s interests in the world, including closing embassies, severing all political and economic relations and submitting a project to the UN stipulating the expulsion of Israel as a rogue state from all UN institutions.
AOHR UK expressed its condemnation of the normalising countries led by the United Arab Emirates in maintaining their relations with Israel. Reports indicate that after more than a year of the genocide, these relations have grown stronger, which has strengthened Netanyahu’s will to continue the war of extermination.
AOHR UK called for urgent action to be taken at all levels to stop the genocide in the north, including calling to hold the tenth emergency session of the UN General Assembly. This is a great opportunity for countries with the courage to issue decisions and recommendations to achieve a ceasefire.
