A senior Hamas official has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of turning the occupation state’s war against the Palestinians and Lebanese into an election campaign in support of Donald Trump. “The occupation is not serious about the negotiations and is trying to procrastinate in every round,” added Taher Al-Nunu. “Netanyahu does not want to reach an agreement. He wants Trump to become US president again.”

Commenting on the ongoing massacres of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, Al-Nunu pointed out that the occupation regime is destroying all the components of life and targeting hospitals before the eyes of the world, “But the world has not lifted a finger.” He added that the regime has not been able to achieve its declared goals for a whole year and has done nothing but commit massacres against children and women.

The resistance movement’s position will not change regarding the management of the post-war Gaza Strip, insisted the Hamas official. “There are ongoing meetings and consultations between Hamas and the rest of the factions to develop a common national vision for the day after the war. There is Palestinian consensus and an agreed-upon vision to exclude any non-Palestinian party governing the Palestinian people.”

He addressed the Arab people once again, asking them not to normalise the massacres being committed against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Finally, he told the Palestinians in the West Bank and the other occupied territories: “Al-Aqsa Flood is our opportunity to end the occupation regime and expel it from our land. Resistance in all its forms is the path to salvation and liberation from the occupation.”
