Elon Musk’s X social media platform has suspended a new account that posts messages on behalf of Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in Hebrew.

The account was suspended yesterday morning, a day after it was set up, with a brief note appended to it saying “X suspends accounts which violate the X Rules”.

The platform did not specify which rules had been violated.

Khamenei’s office maintains multiple accounts that post on behalf of the supreme leader on X in different languages.
