Several people are feared dead and injured in Israeli bombardment in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday evening, Anadolu Agency reports.

Fighter jets bombed a house in the Jabalia Refugee Camp, causing the casualties, witnesses said.

The Ministry of Health has yet to confirm the fatalities.

Meanwhile, five people were injured in another strike near the Abu Hussein School in Jabalia, Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza confirmed.

The army has launched a deadly offensive in the northern Gaza Strip since last month to allegedly prevent Palestinian Resistance group, Hamas, from regrouping.

Palestinians, however, accuse Israel of seeking to occupy the area and forcibly displace its residents.

More than 1,800 people have been killed in the ongoing Israeli offensive in northern Gaza, according to Palestinian health authorities. Food and other aid are severely limited.

Israel has continued a devastating offensive on Gaza since a Hamas attack on 7 October, 2023, killing nearly 43,500 people and rendering the enclave almost uninhabitable.

Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in the blocked enclave.
