Yemen’s Houthi group yesterday claimed a drone attack on a “vital target” near the port of Ashdod in southern Israel.

Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree said in a statement that the drone attack on the Yafna area near Ashdod port in southern Israel was a “qualitative operation” against a “sensitive target”, adding that the drone “successfully hit its target”.

The statement said the attack comes within the fifth phase of supporting the Palestinian resistance and vowed more missile and drone attacks until Israel’s ongoing onslaught on Gaza is halted and the siege is lifted.
