The Israeli occupation authority demolished six Palestinian houses on Monday in Anata town, occupied Jerusalem, under the pretext that they had no construction licences, the Palestinian Information Centre has reported.

According to local sources, Israeli bulldozers escorted by police knocked down four homes belonging to the Diyafin family and two others belonging to the Abu Ghalya family.

On Sunday, the Israeli-controlled municipality in occupied Jerusalem forced the Basheer family to demolish their own house in Silwan.

Meanwhile, the occupation state intends to enforce a court order to impose financial penalties on a number of Jerusalemite families in Silwan for parking their cars on a swath of land belonging to the municipality, claiming that the land is part of a Jewish cemetery.
