Yemen’s Houthi group reported fresh US, British air strikes targeting Hudaydah province in the west of the country yesterday, Anadolu reported.

In a brief statement, the Houthi-run Al-Masirah television said that attacks targeted the At-Tuhayta district in the province.

The broadcaster, however, did not give details about casualties or material damage from the strikes.

There was no immediate comment from the US or the UK on the report.

Hudaydah is the most targeted province in Yemen by US and British air strikes. The province houses an international airport and three vital ports, in addition to a long coastal strip.

The fresh strikes followed a pause in US, UK air strikes in Yemen since 28 November.

Since the beginning of 2024, a coalition led by the US has been conducting air strikes against Houthi targets in response to the group’s support for Palestinians in Gaza who are struggling to survive as a result of Israel’s genocidal bombing campaign of the Strip.
