“Moreover, around four out of ten people over the age of 15 — 41.6 per cent — are engaging in economic activity in 2024, compared with 47.6 per cent in 2014.”

The highest unemployment rates were recorded in Guelmim-Oued Noun (Sahara region) and Beni Mellal-Khenifra (north) at 26.8 per cent; Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (Sahara region) at 26.6 per cent, and in Fez-Meknes (north) at 23.3 per cent, said Benmoussa.
