Israel expects to have 100,000 disabled soldiers by 2030: media report

Israel’s occupation army expects to have 100,000 disabled soldiers by 2030 who suffer from psychological and physical injuries, Kan and Israel Hayom reported,

The reports said that this would be an increase of 61 per cent compared to the current situation. About 30,000 soldiers are expected to suffer from mental health issues, an increase of up to 172 per cent.

The Israeli channel also reported that the rehabilitation department’s budget, which was 3.7 billion shekels (about $1 billion) in 2019, will reach 10.7 billion shekels (about $3 billion) by 2030. The data indicates that the number of soldiers treated in the rehabilitation wing will rise from 62,000 in September 2023 to 100,000 by 2030, with a significant increase in the number of soldiers suffering from severe mental health issues.
