Yemen’s Houthi leader, Abdul Malik Al-Houthi, has described Israel’s actions in Gaza as “genocide in every sense of the word.”

In a speech made yesterday, Al-Houthi stated that the scale of atrocities in Gaza has forced some international institutions to acknowledge the crimes, despite attempts to downplay the figures.

He pointed out that Gaza has recorded the highest child mortality rate globally, with

Israeli occupation forces killing one child every hour. He criticised the West for championing women’s and children’s rights while ignoring the plight of Palestinian women and children.

Al-Houthi highlighted that Israel has only allowed 12 aid trucks into northern Gaza over 70 days – equivalent to one truck every six days – enforcing severe starvation policies.

He also denounced the escalation of Israeli attacks on hospitals in Gaza, particularly in the north of the enclave, involving bombings, killings, raids and the destruction of hospitals and their surroundings.

These crimes, he added, are backed by open and unwavering US support for Israel.

He further noted that Israeli aggression extends to the West Bank, where crimes include demolishing homes, burning mosques, daily raids and settlers seizing citizens’ farmlands.
