The Palestinian NGO Network has condemned the Israeli occupation’s bombing of a humanitarian aid distribution point operated by the Ma’an Development Centre on Al-Baraka Street in Deir Al-Balah, central Gaza Strip.
In a statement issued yesterday, the network said an Israeli occupation aircraft directly targeted the warehouse used for the food aid project, noting that the air strike resulted in serious injuries to three of the centre’s employees and several other civilians.
The network noted that the warehouse has been used to distribute food aid to displaced residents in Deir Al-Balah for the past year and that its coordinates had been shared with the World Food Programme (WFP).
It expressed “grave concern” at the Israeli occupation’s systematic targeting of humanitarian organisations and aid workers who strive to provide assistance to displaced Palestinians amidst an unprecedented humanitarian crisis caused by the Israeli occupation.
It pointed out that the Israeli occupation deliberately targets relief workers as part of its starvation policy during its genocide in Gaza.
