Israeli occupation forces launched a military operation in the Jordan Valley last night, killing three Palestinians, including two in air strikes, reported Arab48.

An Israeli occupation soldier was also wounded while firing at a Palestinian in the town of Taluza, near occupied Nablus. According to Israeli Army Radio, a Palestinian opened fire at Israeli troops, injuring a reservist from Battalion 7037.

Israeli occupation authorities have intensified military attacks in the region under the claim that they are seeking out the perpetrator of a shooting attack near the village of Al-Funduq, east of Qalqilya, yesterday.

During the Taluza raid, Israeli occupation forces reportedly shot and killed a Palestinian man and arrested one person. Two additional arrests were made in Rafidia. The military claims to have arrested 18 individuals considered as “wanted” during the operation.

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant announced plans to increase troop deployments and intensify security measures in the occupied West Bank.

The three Palestinians killed overnight include Jafar Ahmed Dababseh, a former prisoner shot outside his home in Wadi Al-Badhan near Nablus, Suleiman Mustafa Qashitat, killed in an air strike on Tammun, and another Palestinian whose identity remains undisclosed.

Palestinian officials have condemned the escalating Israeli military operations, accusing the occupation army of collective punishment and violations of international law.
