Israel is still imposing restrictions on the delivery of humanitarian aid to northern Gaza, the UN has said yesterday.
“Three attempts by the United Nations to reach these areas over the past three days — that’s one on Saturday, one on Sunday and another one today — were all denied,” Stephane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN secretary-general, said in his press briefing.
Dujarric reiterated the need to halt the looting of humanitarian supplies and urged Israel to expedite the large-scale flow of aid, fuel and goods into Gaza through multiple entry points. “We also call on the civilian police to be allowed to operate and thereby restore public order,” he said.
