The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate condemned the statement issued by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which included unfair accusations against journalists and correspondents describing them as “mercenaries”. It held the forces responsible for any threat against them as a result of its incitement.

The group confirmed in a press statement issued yesterday that the RSF’s words are explicit incitement against journalists and reinforce a hostile climate that threatens their lives and safety and paves the way for serious acts of revenge that may be committed against them. It held the RSF fully responsible for any threats or violations against journalists as a result of this dangerous incitement, according to Al-Mashhad Al-Sudani newspaper.

In a statement issued yesterday night, the RSF accused local and international media outlets of reporting news about the victories and achievements of the Sudanese army and considered foreign correspondents to be partisan.
