Syrian security forces uncovered a missile depot at a site belonging to the former regime in the city of Homs, Anadolu reported yesterday.

The discovery was reported by Homs TV through its Telegram channel.

“Following surveillance and monitoring, the General Security Directorate successfully uncovered missile depots within a site previously controlled by the former regime in the Abbasiya neighbourhood of Homs,” the news report said.

Since the overthrow of Bashar Al-Assad’s regime, the Military Operations Directorate has established reconciliation centres aimed at encouraging former regime members to surrender their weapons. However, resistance from some elements has led to clashes in various provinces across the country.
