The Israeli army demolished 21 homes in the Jenin refugee camp, in the northern occupied West Bank today, as the assault on the city and its camp has continued since 21 January.

Eyewitnesses told Anadolu that loud explosions were heard, followed by plumes of smoke rising from within the camp.

According to witnesses, several homes in the camp’s vicinity and in the city of Jenin were shaken due to the explosions, causing windows and doors to shatter.

Bashir Matahin, the public relations officer at Jenin Municipality, stated that 21 homes were demolished across three neighbourhoods in the camp.

Speaking to Anadolu, Matahin added that the army had forced camp residents to flee in recent days.
