Two Israeli occupation soldiers were killed and six others were injured in a shooting attack near the Tayasir roadblock in eastern Tubas to the north of the occupied West Bank this morning, the Palestinian Information Centre reported.
Hebrew media reported that a Palestinian youth shot at the soldiers and was killed in the exchange of fire after killing two soldiers and wounding six others.
The report said that the man, reportedly from Jenin, broke into the roadblock’s watchtower and exchanged fire with the soldiers.
The Israeli ambulance service initially said that eight Israeli soldiers were wounded in the attack including two who were in a serious condition. They were later pronounced dead.
