Iran is on “high alert” in anticipation of a possible Israeli attack on its nuclear facilities, the Telegraph has reported.
According to two senior government sources in Tehran, cited in the reports, Iran has strengthened its defence system at nuclear sites across the country amid fears that the United States and Israel may launch a joint attack.
One of the sources stated that any major attack could put Iran at risk, as its defence system has already been weakened by the Israeli attack on Eshtiqad.
A recently published US intelligence report indicated a strong possibility that Israel could strike Iran in the first half of the year.
