Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko criticised US President Donald Trump’s proposal to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip into neighbouring countries, calling the plan “unrealistic”.
Lukashenko made the remarks during an interview with US blogger Mario Nawfal last month in which he warned the Trump administration of the repercussions of serious “mistakes” resulting from some of public statements.
He specifically pointed to a video of the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, which was released by Trump, as an example.
“Many statements made by Trump and his administration should not have been made in the first place.. For example, they recently published a video in cooperation with Elon Musk on the X platform about how to make the residents of the Gaza Strip happy. The video included the idea of deporting the population of the Gaza Strip and distributing them to other countries,” Lukashenko said.

“Listen to me carefully. First, this idea is unrealistic. Second, even if you wanted to build something there, you should not have talked about it in this form or this way. Such mistakes in the form, not in the content, are very common among Trump and his administration.”
The Belarusian president stressed that such actions are unacceptable in the world of politics and are viewed as “serious mistakes”.
Lukashenko stressed the need for the Trump administration to focus on solving internal problems in the US and fulfilling the promises it had made during the election campaign.
“If you do not make any progress in a year, and do not fulfill even a small percentage of your election promises, then difficult times await you. Even your colleagues in the Republican Party may lose confidence in you. Although the Republicans control the House of Representatives and the Senate, citizens’ expectations are high, and you must meet these expectations,” he said.
