Senior Hamas official Taher Al-Nounou yesterday confirmed to Reuters that several meetings had been held between leaders of the Palestinian group and US Envoy for Hostage Affairs, Adam Boehler.

“Several meetings have already taken place in Doha, focusing on releasing one of the dual-nationality prisoners. We have dealt positively and flexibly, in a way that serves the interests of the Palestinian people,” he said.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced that a delegation would travel to Doha today to advance ceasefire negotiations.

According to Israel’s Army Radio, the delegation includes the deputy head of Shin Bet, the hostage affairs coordinator, and Netanyahu’s adviser.

Citing an Israeli official, the Times of Israel reported that the negotiating team includes Ophir Falk, Netanyahu’s political advisor, and that a Shin Bet official will replace its chief, Ronen Bar, whom Netanyahu removed from the talks.
