Defence Minister Israel Katz yesterday announced that Israel would soon allow Druze workers from Syria to work in the illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Golan Heights.
This move comes amid the ongoing Israeli aggression against Syria. It is seen as part of efforts to create divisions within Syrian society to further destabilise the country after the fall of President Bashar Al-Assad’s regime.
Katz announced that the Israeli occupation government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, is now approving an unprecedented support plan for the Druze and Circassian communities in Israel.
He added: “As Security Minister, I salute their loyalty, bravery and contributions to Israel’s security during difficult and critical times. We will continue to support them and protect their brothers and sisters in Syria from any threats.”
“Soon, we will allow Druze workers from Syria to work in the Golan settlements.” He did not provide a timeline for the move.
