Saudi Arabia has urged the international community to pressure Israel to immediately restore electricity and allow the flow of aid into Gaza without any conditions or restrictions.
In a statement issued yesterday, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned Israel’s use of collective punishment against Palestinians in Gaza by cutting off electricity to the territory.
The ministry stressed the kingdom’s call for urgent international action to “immediately and unconditionally restore electricity and ensure the flow of aid to Gaza.”
Saudi Arabia also reaffirmed its firm rejection of Israeli violations of international humanitarian law and renewed its call to activate international accountability mechanisms for these blatant violations.
