At least four people were killed and nine others injured on Saturday following an explosion in a four-story building in the Al-Raml Al-Janoubi neighbourhood of Latakia, northwestern Syria, state news agency SANA said.
Search, rescue, and emergency teams shifted the victims to hospitals. Four children were in stable condition, while five adults had moderate injuries.
The explosion was caused by an individual attempting to dismantle war remnants inside a scrap shop within the building.
