US greenlights Israel’s renewed bombing of Gaza, White House says

The United States approved Israel's decision to break the ceasefire, leading to renewed bombing in Gaza overnight which has killed at least 400 Palestinians. Israeli occupation forces resumed air strikes across the besieged territory following consultations with the Trump Administration, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed in an interview with Fox News.

The administration of President Donald Trump was consulted yesterday by Israel on its deadly strikes in Gaza, a White House spokesperson told Fox News, according to Reuters.

“The Trump administration and the White House were consulted by the Israelis on their attacks in Gaza tonight,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a Fox News interview.

Over 400 Palestinians have been killed since Israel intensified its bombing campaign in the enclave in the early hours of this morning.

A senior Hamas official said Israel had unilaterally overturned the ceasefire agreement.

“As President Trump has made it clear – Hamas, the Houthis, Iran, all those who seek to terrorise not just Israel, but also the United States of America, will see a price to pay. All hell will break loose,” the White House spokesperson said.

Trump had previously publicly issued a warning using similar words, saying Hamas should release all captives in Gaza or “let hell break out.”
