Hamas praised the Arab, Islamic, and international positions condemning Israel’s aggression against the Gaza Strip and called on the United Nations to take urgent action to stop Tel Aviv’s violations after it resumed what the movement described as a campaign of genocide against Palestinians, Anadolu reported.

“The crimes of the occupation represent a blatant violation of international law and pose a threat to the security and stability of the region,” the movement said in a statement released on Tuesday.

Since early Tuesday, Israel has intensified its attacks with heavy and widespread airstrikes targeting civilians, resulting in “404 martyrs and more than 562 injuries” as of 10:00 GMT, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza.

Hamas welcomed the “Arab, Islamic, and international positions condemning and rejecting the resumption of aggression by the criminal Netanyahu and his extremist government after they overturned the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.”

The movement urged “the United Nations, through its political, legal, and humanitarian institutions, to take urgent action and stand firmly against the Zionist occupation’s violations of international law.”

Hamas affirmed that “the Palestinian people will remain steadfast in the face of these crimes” and called on the international community to uphold its moral and legal responsibilities.
