Israeli occupation forces have forced over 80 Palestinian families to flee their homes in Al-Ein refugee camp near the occupied West Bank city of Nablus amid an ongoing assault on the camp, Safa reported citing a camp official.
In a press statement yesterday, Ibrahim Shattawi, deputy head of the Al-Ein Camp Services Committee, said that Israeli occupation forces were raiding homes inside the camp, conducting searches, checking residents’ identities, and forcing them to leave. He added that several people had also been detained.
Shattawi noted that some displaced families had sought refuge with relatives in various neighbourhoods across the city, while others had taken shelter in mosques.
Meanwhile, the Israeli assault continues, with all entrances to the camp remaining closed.
