Some 591 Palestinians were killed and 1,042 others were injured over the past 72 hours after Israel relaunched its intense bombing campaign in the besieged Gaza Strip, the Government Media Office has said.
Since the early hours of Tuesday, the Israeli occupation army has carried out dozens of massacres across various areas of the Gaza Strip.
Intense air strikes have directly targeted civilian homes without prior warning, resulting in the deaths of 591 Palestinians and the injury of 1,042 others who managed to make their way to medical facilities. Many more victims remain trapped under the rubble, as rescue teams are unable to retrieve them due to a lack of fuel or suitable recovery equipment.
Statistics indicate that more than 70 per cent of those killed during this period were children, women, and the elderly, highlighting that the occupation continues its direct targeting of civilians as part of a systematic act of genocide.
The media office stated that this brutal aggression reflects the occupation’s deliberate intent to continue its crime of genocide against the people of Gaza, with American backing.
“We strongly condemn the occupation’s ongoing massacres against defenceless civilians and call on world governments and human rights organisations to denounce these crimes and take immediate action to stop them. We also urge free people around the world to take to the streets in mass protests against this brutal aggression,” the statement read.
“We hold the Israeli occupation and the US administration fully responsible for the continued mass killings and ethnic cleansing of our people. However, this aggression will not intimidate us or break our resilience.”
