Damascus has condemned the Israeli air strike and ground incursions in the Daraa Governorate, in southern Syria, and called for an international investigation into the violations of its sovereignty and the crimes committed against its citizens, Anadolu reported.
In a statement, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned “the ongoing Israeli aggression on Syrian territories,” which it said had escalated significantly in the village of Koya in western Daraa.
The statement described the attack as involving “intensive artillery and aerial bombardment targeting residential and agricultural areas,” resulting in the deaths of six civilians, with the death toll expected to rise due to serious injuries.
The ministry added that this escalation “is part of a series of violations that began with the Israeli forces’ incursion into the Quneitra and Daraa governorates, in a continuous assault on Syrian territory, in clear violation of national sovereignty and international law.”
Syria strongly condemned “these atrocities” and demanded “an international investigation into the crimes against innocent civilians and the violations committed by Israel.”
