Israel is continuing to exterminate Palestinians in Gaza “with total impunity” ensured by the US, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has said on X.
“They bomb hospitals, refugee camps, and UN facilities, in flagrant violation of International Humanitarian Law,” Diaz-Canel said yesterday.
In another post on X on 18 March, Diaz-Canal noted that Israel resumed its bombardment of Gaza “with the full support” of the US administration.
“They seek to annihilate the Palestinian population of the Strip at all costs and with increasing brutality. This genocide cannot go unpunished,” he wrote.
More than 50,100 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, and over 113,700 injured in a brutal Israeli military onslaught on Gaza since October 2023.
The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for its war on the enclave.
