At least 100 Palestinians have been killed in the past 24 hours across the Gaza Strip in the relentless Israeli bombardment, bringing the death toll since the genocide resumed on 18 March to 1,163, Quds News Network has reported, citing the Palestinian Health Ministry.

According to the ministry, the figure includes 97 people killed in the past 24 hours and three bodies which were retrieved from the rubble. It also reported that the overall death toll now stands at 50,523 since the latest Israeli offensive against the Palestinians in Gaza began on 7 October, 2023.

Displaced people in the so-called Al-Mawasi “safe zone”, west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, were among those targeted by Israeli attacks.

Israeli air strikes targeted a home in Gaza City’s Shujaya neighbourhood in the north of the enclave, killing at least nine people and wounding 15.

On Wednesday alone, more than 70 people were killed in the deadliest day yet since Israel resumed its war on Gaza. Targets included an UNRWA-run clinic, where several children were killed, as well members of the Gaza police force.
