Israeli warplanes bombed the town of Naqoura in southern Lebanon on Thursday morning, targeting a house and a health centre, the Palestinian Information Centre has reported. According to Lebanon’s National News Agency, the hostile aircraft carried out more than one air strike in the vicinity.
Local sources explained that the Israelis bombed the new civil defence centre of the Islamic Health Authority in Naqoura, destroying it and damaging two ambulance and firefighting vehicles.
The General Directorate of Civil Defence – Islamic Health Authority pointed out that the Israeli aggression was part of the occupation state’s “daily violations and attacks, completing the chain of criminality it started in its recent war on Lebanon, by deliberately targeting ambulance crews, health centres and paramedics to discourage them from performing their humanitarian role.”
