Lebanon says death toll from Israeli attacks since March exceeds 4,300

The Lebanese Ministry of Health said on Sunday that 4,346 people have been killed and 12,301 wounded in Israeli attacks on Lebanon since 2nd March, following two airstrikes in southern Lebanon that killed 11 people and wounded 19 others on Saturday.

The ministry’s Emergency Operations Center said in a statement that the cumulative toll between 2nd March and 16th August had reached 4,346 deaths and 12,301 injuries.

According to the ministry, an Israeli airstrike on the town of Deir Zahrani, in the Nabatieh district, killed four people and wounded 17 others. The injured included 11 women and a child.

In a separate Israeli strike on the town of Ansar, also in the Nabatieh district, seven people were killed, including three children and two women, while two others were wounded.
