Israeli forces deployed bulldozers and heavy machinery to Khirbet al-Fakhit in the Masafer Yatta region south of Hebron on Tuesday, tearing down Palestinian homes, livestock shelters, water wells, and solar power installations, Anadolu reports.

Head of the Masafer Yatta Village Council Nidal Younis said Khirbet al-Fakhit became the second hamlet completely leveled by Israeli authorities within a single week.

The demolitions struck residential dwellings, animal pens, essential water cisterns, solar systems powering the community, and historic caves dating back to the Canaanite era.

Troops gave residents no time to salvage their possessions, leaving schoolbags, textbooks, basic food supplies, and furniture crushed beneath the concrete debris as children prepared for morning classes.

Younis warned that intensifying demolitions and raids over the past three years form a systematic campaign to depopulate Masafer Yatta and forcibly displace Palestinian herding communities from their ancestral land.

Around 750,000 Israeli occupiers live in 516 illegal settlements and outposts across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

Israeli army attacks and violence by occupiers against Palestinians and their property in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, have intensified since the Gaza war began in October 2023.
