Indiscriminate killing
In just six months, Israel killed over 33,000 Palestinians in Gaza, the majority of whom have been women and children. “They kill anything which moves in Gaza, including hostages, Israeli hostages,” Israeli journalist Gideon Levy told the New Statesman in an interview, calling Israel’s actions in Gaza “a massacre and a mass killing”.
In December, US President Joe Biden said Israel risked losing support “by the indiscriminate bombing” it has deployed in Gaza. This is reflected by the astonishing death toll that has seen entire families wiped out, in what Amnesty International had already described as “damning evidence of war crimes”. Several international human rights organisations and media outlets published detailed investigations, reports and analyses into Israeli air strikes on Gaza which demonstrate the indiscriminate nature of Israel’s attacks on Palestinians in the besieged territory.
